Child’s Path has a long history of serving working families and at-risk children in Southwest Florida. We began in 1991 as part of Child Care of Southwest Florida, which served four counties at that time–Lee, Collier, Hendry and Glades. In 2008, supporters and staff recognized the growing need in Collier County and formed a 501(c)(3) public charity to only serve Collier County, and the organization was incorporated as Collier Child Care Resources (CCCR).

In October of 2019, the Board of Directors decided a new name would better reflect our mission and long-standing commitment to serve the children of low-income, working families. On July 1, 2020, CCCR was renamed Child’s Path. Through our Bright Paths Scholarship Fund, underserved Collier County children receive tuition assistance and access to high-quality early learning and care, enabling their parents to keep working and achieve greater financial stability.

Child’s Path serves low-income local families through its Bright Paths Scholarship Fund, which provides tuition assistance and an opportunity for underserved children to receive high-quality early learning and care.

Today, Child’s Path serves approximately 400 children per year through four early learning centers. Seventy-five percent of the children enrolled in our programs receive tuition assistance from our Bright Paths Scholarship Fund. High-quality early education changes the entire trajectory of a child’s life and prepares them for academic and lifelong success. We believe every child deserves access to high-quality early learning and a bright start in life!

Child’s Path has earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid (formerly known as Guidestar) for a third year in a row. This is the highest level of recognition from the world’s largest source of nonprofit information.
