About Child’s Path East Naples UMC

Our East Naples UMC center serves children from six weeks to five years old in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning center inside East Naples United Methodist Church at 2701 Airport Rd. South in Naples. The facility consists of four large classrooms and an outdoor play area, and it can accommodate up to 48 children. East Naples UMC provides an experiential approach to learning, focusing on a child’s social, emotional, and physical well-being. Our goal is to ensure a nurturing environment where children can flourish both academically and socially.

Our teachers offer themselves to the process of becoming co-facilitators of knowledge by opening doors to new possibilities. All of our employees are thoroughly screened and are required to hold Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials, and all staff are trained in child CPR.

Part-Time Care Program Available

In addition to our full-time early learning programs, Child’s Path is piloting a part-time care and learning program for parents of children ages one to five to provide them with well-rounded learning experiences while receiving positive, nurturing care. Once you’ve submitted the annual registration paperwork, you can choose from 2 or 3 days of care.

Child’s Path also allows for drop-in care, where you would not have to commit to a specific schedule, but this option depends on availability, For example, you may have a last-minute need for care on one day. You can call in the morning and your child can be in care that day, if you are already pre-registered and as long as there is availability. You may also, for example, have a need for three days of care in one week, and not need care again for several months. We offer that flexibility, again, if there is a slot available.

For more information and rates, contact Center Director Yahismix (Jasmin) Rivera at 239-744-7828 or yahismixr@childspath.org.

Educational Approach

Child’s Path’s educational approach is based on the highly regarded Reggio Emilia Philosophy. We create a fun, hands-on experience to inspire children’s lifelong love of learning. Additionally, lesson plans are based on the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum. Creative Curriculum includes developmentally appropriate goals for children within four main categories of interest: social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language.
