About Child’s Path Immokalee
Our Immokalee High School Center provides high-quality early childhood care and education to the children of teen parents enrolled in the ”Teenagers as Parents Program” (TAPP). We also provide parent education and mentoring of developmentally appropriate practices to our teen parents. They can then focus on graduating high school and plan a successful future knowing that their children are safe in a nurturing environment. Last year, 100 percent of the seniors in our program successfully graduated high school. This Center serves children age two weeks to five years old. It is also open to the children of Collier County Public School System staff. We follow the Collier Schools academic calendar and are only open on days that teachers work, mid-August through early June.
Immokalee Success & Outcomes
Last year, 100% of children in our Immokalee High School Center achieved gains in their cognitive, social and emotional skills according to pre/post program assessments. An incredible 98% of children entering kindergarten were deemed “kindergarten ready” by state testing, which is 45 points above the Florida average of 53%. 100% of the teen moms who were seniors received their high school diplomas.
Qualified Teaching Staff
Birth to age 5 is one of the most important years of a child’s life to gain the skills and knowledge to build a foundation for future learning. Our teachers offer themselves to the process of becoming co-facilitators of knowledge by opening doors to new possibilities. All of our employees are thoroughly screened and are required to hold Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials and all staff are trained in child CPR.
Educational Approach

Child’s Path’s educational approach is based on the highly regarded Reggio Emilia Philosophy. We create a fun, hands on experience to inspire children’s lifelong love of learning. Additionally, base lesson plans are based on the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum. Creative Curriculum includes developmentally appropriate goals for children within four main categories of interest: social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language.
