About Moorings (Naples)

Child’s Path Moorings serves children ages one to five in a warm, family-oriented, developmentally appropriate learning center inside Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 777 Mooring Line Drive in Naples. This center is nationally accredited for providing high-quality early learning programs and exemplifying excellence in the care of children, as awarded by the National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs. The facility consists of four large classrooms and an outdoor play area, and it can accommodate up to 56 children. Moorings provides an experiential approach to learning, focusing on a child’s social, emotional and physical well-being. Our goal is to ensure a nurturing environment where children can flourish both academically and socially.
Our Moorings Center is enrolling new students. and accepting applications for tuition assistance through our Bright Paths scholarships. Prior to Covid-19, more than 50,000 healthy meals (breakfast, lunch, snacks) were served free to children annually, as part of our Healthy Meals/Minds Program. While the service was suspended during the pandemic, our free meal program resumed in August 2021.

Moorings Center Success & Outcomes
100% of the children improved their cognitive, social and emotional developmental milestones as measured by pre/post assessments. Last year, children entering kindergarten from the Moorings Center achieved a kindergarten readiness rate of 77%, which is 28 points above the Collier County average of 49% and 24 points above the Florida of 53%.
Qualified Teaching Staff
Our teachers offer themselves to the process of early education as co-facilitators of knowledge by opening doors to new possibilities. All of our employees are thoroughly screened and are required to hold Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials and all staff are trained in child CPR. We seek our the best and brightest early learning teachers in the area.
Educational Approach

Child’s Path’s educational approach is based on the highly regarded Reggio Emilia Philosophy. We create a fun, hands on experience to inspire children’s lifelong love of learning. Additionally, lesson plans are based on the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum. Creative Curriculum includes developmentally appropriate goals for children within four main categories: social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language.
