Child’s Path has a long history of serving children and families in Southwest Florida. We began in 1991 as part of Child Care of Southwest Florida, which served four counties at that time–Lee, Collier, Hendry and Glades. In 2008, supporters and staff in Collier County decided to form a separate 501(c)(3) public charity to serve Collier County only, and we were incorporated as Collier Child Care Resources (CCCR).

As part of updating our strategic plan in October of 2019, the Board of Directors realized the need for a new name for the organization to reflect our mission and how we have grown. Thus, CCCR was named Child’s Path on July 1, 2020. Child’s Path creates brighter futures for Collier County children and families by providing partial scholarships for high-quality and affordable early learning and care.

Today, Child’s Path serves approximately 300 children per year through four early learning centers. We provide scholarship assistance to approximately 75 percent of the children enrolled. High-quality early education changes the entire trajectory of a child’s life and sets a child up for academic and lifelong success. We believe every child deserves access to high-quality early learning and a bright start in life!
